Dear Bernie - I am sorry to hear about the sudden loss of your brother Marty. I know how difficult it is to lose a loved one. My first thought of Marty was his outgoing personality and his laugh! I know that with time, the happy memories will help get you through the sad times. Please extend my condolences to your family.

I'm so sorry to hear about marty. I went to St Annes school with him and years ago I was able to sale sponges to him. My dad always liked seeing your daughter in St Annes church, and would ask her about her running. Marty was so proud. My dad, Alex, passed away in October 07. My deepest regards of sorrow for the family. May god bless you all.

Dear Patty & Heather:

You may not know exactly who I am, but I am a member of St. Anne's and I would see you two and Marty so often in church from the time Heather was very small. Also, I attended grade school at St. Anne's and Marty was in my class. After reading all of the prior heartfelt tributes to him, I can see that he grew up into exactly the kind of man those dedicated nuns expected him to: kind, warm, generous, and loved. My deepest sympathies go out to your family, and may he forever rest in God's eternal peace and joy.

Patty & Heather,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I couldn't belive that this has happened. Little did I know that the oldies dance would have been the last time I would see my friend. Marty loved to laugh and make others laugh. I know that he also loved the two of you very much you were his life. He would want you to remember his smile and laugh above everything. I will miss him dearly. My thoughts and prayers will be with both of you in this time of your greatest loss.

In the short time my mother has been at Weinberg Terrace, it was obvious how much Marty was adored and appreciated there. Truly, a wonderful man to be around. Our deepest sympathies to your family.

I met Marty very recently when my Mother moved into Weinberg Terrace. Marty was incredibly cheerful, helpful, and altogether lovely in the way he welcomed and assisted my Mother as she made this major life transition. I was so sorry to learn about his untimely death. My sincere condolences go out to his family and friends. He was a sweet, gentle man with a heart of gold.

Patty,
I just can't believe this is happening. Marty will always be remember with his heart of gold, laughter that filled the room when he entered, helping hands that never turned anyone away, kind words to make you always feel good. I realize that we shouldn't question GOD but Marty was a Great Man and enjoyed life..and gave to so many in return...while others are walking the earth and truly are undeserving of life. Someday we may understand the reasoning of the choices GOD makes but until then...we have to keep our Faith and believe that GOD knows what he is doing. We will meet again my friend of over 30 years ...and we will once again laugh and rejoice...until then:
From my heart to yours my FRIEND!
Judi

Marty was such a warm person - that was obvious even when we were talking business. His love and devotion to Patty was plain for anyone to see. And we'll never forget the day he spent almost an hour with us showing us photos from Heather's wedding - you can imagine a mom doing that, but a dad? He was so proud! Marty will be dearly missed. Our prayers are with the Hanchak family today and always.

Uncle Marty,

I am trying so hard to understand why you were asked to return home to God. It is so difficult to find the right words to say how much you will be missed. Tessa and Alexa asked me if they would be able to see your train set up during Christmas again and it was so hard to tell them, probably not. I do find comfort in the fact that you are in heaven with Aunt Mimi, Pappap, and Bubba. We will all see you again someday.

Love,

Michael, Jennifer, Olivia, Tessa, Alexa, Brittany, and Tyler
