Marjorie Venice Wren, 91, of Blackfoot, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at her home.
She was born Sept. 2, 1921, in Presto Bench, Idaho, the daughter of David Dye and M. Venice Stoddart. She attended Blackfoot High School.
On Oct. 2, 1939, she married Monte George Wren in Gibson, Idaho. He preceded her in death Oct. 9, 1977. She and Monte were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many different callings. Marjorie was a temple worker in the Idaho Falls Temple for many years. She was also a member of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers for more than 25 years.
Marjorie drove a school bus and was part owner with her husband of the Monte G. Wren Bus Co.
She was also a homemaker and enjoyed reading, camping, fishing and traveling. She traveled to Europe twice.
She is survived by her sons, Theron (Carla) Wren of Blackfoot, Robert (Shirlene) Wren of Rexburg, Leo (Lois) Wren of Chubbuck, Don (JoAnn) Wren of Blackfoot and Bill (LoRaine) of Port Orange, Fla.; daughter, Myrna (Martin) Krueger of Blackfoot; 28 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Delfa Dail Stocking, Iola Duncan and Billy Louise Davenport; one granddaughter; one grandson; and one great-grandson.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, at the Blackfoot East LDS Stake, 1289 Mount Putnam Drive in Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 4, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. and Tuesday for one hour prior to the service at the stake center. Interment will be in Firth Cemetery.

I am so thankful to have had Aunt Marjorie in my life and the great example she was to me. How wonderful the reunion must be with Uncle Monte and the rest of her family. I wish we could be there with you but, please know we are there with you in spirit. All our love,
