Alyce Marie Krause Hansen, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 4, 1930, in Logan, Utah, to Alma Vernon Krause and Phyllis Grace Keveren Krause. She attended Midway High School in Lewisville, Idaho, before moving to California, where she graduated from Placer Union High School.
On June 23, 1948, she married Harold Laurel Hansen in Rigby. They were married for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in July 1958. She was a mother and homemaker and worked at Suburban Propane. Alyce also volunteered at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many positions, including Relief Society president. Mom loved teaching her daughters cooking and sewing. She was involved in 4-H and loved helping others in their time of need.
Survivors are her husband, Harold Hansen of Idaho Falls; daughters, Bonnie (Alan) Bloom of Parker, Idaho, and Linda (Darwin) Lees of Idaho Falls; son-in-law, Dave Taylor of Idaho Falls; brother, Vernon (Jean) Krause of Auburn, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Karen Taylor; and a grandson, Steven Taylor.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, in the Milo LDS Church, 12127 N. 75th East, with Bishop Mike Harrigfeld of the Foothill Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Thursday prior to services at the church.
