Artemio Hernandez(1955 - 2014)

Artemio (best known as Memo) Hernandez, 58, of Monteview, Idaho, passed away late Monday night, Feb. 3, 2014, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 20, 1955, in Rio Verde San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He was the son of Gertrudis Hernandez and the late Abundia (Mares) Hernandez.

Memo was a dedicated farmer for Newman Farms in Monteview for more than 30 years. He enjoyed watching cowboy movies. His family and grandchildren were his passion.

In his spare time, he enjoyed long walks with his metal detector in search of treasures, fishing, barbecuing, working on his vehicles and causing a ruckus while at work.

He especially loved playing with all of his grandchildren and making the best out of every situation by making you smile and laugh.

Memo is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Maria Carmen Hernandez; their four children, Melissa, Oscar, David and Carolina Hernandez of Monteview; his grandchildren, Orlando, Edwin, LaTaya, David, Noah and Roney; his brothers, Isabel, Roberto and Carlos; and a sister, Guadalupe.
