Bill Hill

William F. Hill, 68, of Idaho Falls, passed away in his home Monday, Feb. 11, 2013. At his request, no services will be held.

Bill was born Jan. 23, 1945, in Rigby, Idaho, to Percy Ray Hill and Donna Gneiting Hill. Bill attended Bonneville High School before beginning his career as a union sheet metal worker. He took great pride in his work and was a top-notch and accomplished craftsman. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association for 42 years.

He held many positions that took him from state to state all throughout the West Coast and beyond. Everyone who knew and worked with Bill had a high regard for him and his abilities as a mechanic. Bill will be missed by all, and work just has not been the same without him.

Passionate about the outdoors, Bill was never as happy as when he was hunting with his dear friend, Chris Landon. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking and working in his garden.

Bill is survived by his mother, Donna; siblings, Doug, Percy Jay, Jolene, Donna Ray and Darla; daughters, Megan (David) Reed and Brandy Johnson Wertz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Mary Ellen Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Bill's name to a charity of your choosing.
