Dennis Raye Paulson, 85, of Idaho Falls, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at his home.
He was born Aug. 29, 1927, in Hanska, Minn., to Tolef Hjalmer Paulson and Blanche Sibyl Nerlie Paulson. He grew up and attended schools in the area.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
On April 6, 1950, he married Nina Matahilda Borgen in Anaconda, Mont. They made their home in Boulder, Colo. Dennis worked as a food buyer for Sysco and Nobles Foods in Denver, retiring in 1995. He and his wife then moved to Idaho Falls, where they have since resided.
He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Idaho Falls.
Survivors are his wife, Nina Paulson of Idaho Falls; son, Gary (Kim) Paulson of Victor, Idaho; sister, Helen Newby of Roseburg, Ore.; two grandchildren, Spencer R. Paulson of Tucson, Ariz., and Colbie Holderness of Washington D.C.; and one great-grandson, Andrew Paulson.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Hugo Paulson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 455 W. Sunnyside Road. The family will visit with friends for one hour Tuesday prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery.
