Diana Richman(1926 - 2014)

Diana Siddoway Richman, 87, passed away Friday, June 27, 2014, at a hospital in Idaho Falls, after a short illness.

Diana was born Aug. 22, 1926, in Teton City, Idaho, the daughter of James Clarence and Ruth Bean Siddoway. She grew up in Teton City, where she attended her elementary schooling, first in the old stone school, then in the stone church and then the new brick grade school. She attended Madison High School until her senior year, when she went to St. Anthony, where she graduated. She also attended the Colorado Women's College in Denver.

She married Bert B. Richman on Jan. 19, 1946, in Teton City. They lived in Logan, Utah, Farmington, Utah, and Teton City. Mr. Richman passed away in May l992.

Diana was active in the LDS Church, serving in various callings. She also served on the PTA and was president of the Madison Republican Women; and in l995, was appointed to the House of Representatives. She also served as the first woman president of the Rexburg Rotary Club. She served on the board of directors of the Development Workshop.

She is survived by her children, Mike (Lois) Richman and Nancy Richman, both of Teton City, Megan (Bill) Howe of Salt Lake City, Mary (Matt) Richman of Tacoma, Wash., Jane Richman of Boise, and Ruth (Dave) Langlois of Portland, Ore.; a brother J. Theodore Siddoway of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Jeanne Siddoway of St. Anthony; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Richman; and six brothers, James Siddoway, Bill Siddoway, Denton Siddoway, Grant Siddoway, Forest "Bud" Siddoway and Jack Siddoway.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, in the Teton First LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Ryan Lerwill officiating. Friends may call from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bidwell Funeral Home in St. Anthony, and for one hour Wednesday before services at the church. Burial will be in Teton-Newdale Cemetery.

Family suggests contributions be made to the Development Workshop in Rexburg.
