Dianna Marie Blair Snarr, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at her home.
Dianna was born Aug. 30, 1935, in Salem, Ore., to Richard Eugene Blair and Dorothy Vivian Brothers Blair. She grew up and attended schools in Portland, Ore., and graduated from Franklin High School.
On June 19, 1954, she married Delmar K "Kay" Snarr in Portland, Ore. They made their home on the west side of Idaho Falls while raising their five children, Ray, Warren, Teresa, Denise and Pamela. Dianna was a wife, mother and homemaker; and also worked as a prep cook at Smitty's Restaurant. Kay passed away Oct. 28, 2012.
Dianna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She spent many years as a nursery leader. She loved crocheting, knitting, doing puzzles and visiting her family.
Dianna is survived by her sons, Ray Snarr and Warren Snarr, both of Idaho Falls; daughters, Teresa (Garth) Tietjen of Los Alamos, N.M., and Denise (Thomas) Williams of Lewistown, Mont.; brother, Richard Eugene Blair Jr. of Gresham, Ore.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a daughter, Pamela Jean Snarr.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at the Idaho Falls LDS Osgood Ward, 7940 North 35th West, with Bishop Brad Reed officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
