Douglas Delore Grover

Douglas Delore Grover, 60, of Idaho Falls, passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Jan. 22, 1953, in Idaho Falls, to Clinton and Patsy Grover. He grew up in the Idaho Falls area and attended Idaho Falls High School and Eastern Idaho Technical College.

In 1971, he was blessed with his first child, Eric Douglas Grover.

On May 3, 1980, he married the love of his life, Nancy Mathewson. Together they settled and made their home in Idaho Falls. In 1984, their daughter, Ashley Lennea Grover, was born.

Doug was employed with the INL CH2M-WG as a senior decon tech for over 30 years.

Doug always had a passion for hot rods. He enjoyed building them and just being around them. He also enjoyed oil painting, camping, fishing and attending baseball games. He also enjoyed and was very talented at upholstery work. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; his son, Eric (Jessica) Grover; his daughter, Ashley (Adam) Prophet; a sister, Cindy (LaRall) Kent; a brother, Michael (Janeil) Grover; and eight grandchildren: Breanne, Ashley, Whitney, Maegan and Masen Grover, Ciarra and Kameron Walker, and Taygen Prophet. He loved his grandkids very much and was so proud of each of them.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Pasty Grover; his mother-in-law, Lennea Mathewson; his brother, Val Grover; and his grandparents, Clifford and Isabelle Grover and Spencer and Ida Covert.
