Elizabeth Jane Dean Lange, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Good Samaritan Society Idaho Falls Village.
She was born July 21, 1934, in Pittsburgh to John Edgar Dean and Elizabeth Holt Dean. She grew up and attended schools in McKeesport, Pa.
On Sept. 10, 1955, she married Russell Stuart Lange in Elizabeth Township, Pa. In 1965, they moved to Simi Valley, Calif., where they lived for 40 years before moving to Idaho Falls nine years ago. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She also worked in nursing and hospital administration.
Elizabeth enjoyed cooking, serving others, and especially loved spending time with her family, particularly the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors are her son, Russell Dale (Karen) Lange of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; daughter, Cindy Jane (Michael) Miller of Idaho Falls; seven grandchildren, Justin Miller, Jared Miller, Brittany Giorgio, Kelli (Luke) Hager, Caitlin Miller, Brandon (Danielle) Lange and Karilyn (Levi) Wilk; and six great-grandchildren, Cooper Lange, Hunter Lange, Shelby Wilk, Landon Wilk, Cameron McDonald and Samantha Elizabeth Hager.
She was preceded in death by her husband and brothers, Robert E. Dean and John Dean.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 7, at Ammon Cemetery, with Pastor Bob Sherwood of the First Church of the Nazarene officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. today at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road.
