Ella Marie Wayland Hendricks, 64, of Idaho Falls, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Peak Village from dementia. She was under the care of her family and Encompass Hospice.
Ella was born Oct. 30, 1949, in Rigby to Raleigh Terrence Wayland and Josephine Lerean Ames Wayland. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School. She lived in the Idaho Falls area most of her life, except for nine years in Pocatello.
She raised her family with Reuel D. Hendricks. To this union were born three children, Jesse, Josh and Jennifer. Ella was a homemaker and mother and also worked as a hairdresser and daycare provider.
She was a member of New Life Church and attended Idaho Falls Calvary Chapel. Ella loved to read and adored her children and grandchildren.
Ella is survived by her sons, Jesse Hendricks of Idaho Falls and Josh Hendricks of Montgomery, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Hendricks of Idaho Falls; brother, Terry Wayland of Ririe; sisters, Erma Lee of Boulder, Mont., and Jolene Hernandez of Meridian, Idaho; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Rose and Laura.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. The family will visit with friends from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday prior to services at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Archer-Sutton Cemetery.
