Gregory Young Womack

Gregory Young Womack was born in Idaho Falls on March 27, 1949, and passed away in Pocatello on Friday, March 22, 2013, at the age of 63.

He graduated from Westminster College of Salt Lake City with a B.S. in music in 1972. He worked for International Harvester Co. in Spokane, Wash., and Ford Truck Dealers in Great Falls, Mont., and Billings, Mont., as a heavy duty truck salesman. He returned to Idaho Falls and owned Truck Sales & Leasing Co. with his father. His last working years were with School District 91 and the Shelley school district as a bus driver.

He was a member of the Eagle Rock Masonic Lodge and El Korah Shrine. He was a very accomplished musician and played music wherever he lived. He played with the Great Falls, Billings and Idaho Falls symphony orchestras during his musical career, playing alto saxophone and bassoon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald L. Womack and Nedra J. Womack of Idaho Falls.

He is survived by his brother, Jeffrey L. Womack; sister-in-law, Gladys L. Womack of Seaside, Ore.; his nephew, J. Scott (Lauren) Womack; three grand-nephews, Archer, Zane and Judah, of Poulsbo, Wash.; and nephew, Matthew Sroufe of Corvallis, Ore.

He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held in early May.
