JoAnn Stoddard Renard

JoAnn Stoddard Renard, 72, of Shelley, passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at Promontory Point Rehabilitation Center.

She was born July 26, 1941, in Anaconda, Mont., to Silas Clark Stoddard and Alverda Inez Parks Stoddard. She grew up and attended schools in Powell, Wyo.; Arco, Blackfoot and Idaho Falls; Iran; and Missoula, Mont. She attended high school at Holy Names Academy in Spokane, Wash.

She was a mother and homemaker and also worked in various jobs as a clerical worker. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge, the Red Hat Ladies, the Civitans and was involved with the American Cancer Society.

JoAnn was a member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and spending time with her dog, George Bailey.

Survivors are her daughters, Mary Jane (Jon) Johnson of Shelley, Robin Sue Duffy of San Diego and Katherine Ann (Tony) Blasius of Bend, Ore.; son, John Charles (Kris) Jakovac of Orofino, Idaho; brothers, John Stoddard and Frank Stoddard; sister, Mary Wilson; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Jane Hardin; and a daughter, Angelina Jakovac.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. The family will visit with friends from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Thursday prior to services at the funeral home.
