Josie Susanna Fallis Goldman, 39, of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at her home due to complications from the flu.
She was born Aug. 10, 1973, in Idaho Falls to Dewey Lane Fallis and Leota Ruth Jones Fallis. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Bonneville High School. She also lived briefly in Maryland and Alaska.
She married Matthew Burch on Nov. 28, 1992, and they were later divorced.
On Jan. 10, 2006, she married Brent Scott Goldman in Idaho Falls.
She was a mother and homemaker and had also worked at Good Samaritan, Noble Finance, In-Home Daycare, Advance America and Aspire Human Services.
Josie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed scrapbooking, camping, four-wheeling, and especially loved activities with her family.
Survivors are her husband, Brent Goldman of Idaho Falls; daughters, Hillary (Michael) Casteel of Ucon and Jenna Goldman of Idaho Falls; sons, Logan Burch of Firth, Cody Burch of Firth and Cameron Goldman of Brigham City, Utah; mother, Leota Olmos of Idaho Falls; brother, Dewey (Kandace) Fallis Jr. of Rigby; sisters, Julie Baker of Idaho Falls, Tammy (Bryan) Irish of Pocatello and Malinda (Bruce) Anderson of Rigby; stepbrothers, David Bates of Melba, Idaho, Mike Holm of Idaho Falls, Todd Holm of Idaho Falls, Dustin Holm of Boise and Steven (Melissa) Holm of Idaho Falls; stepsisters, Karen (Dave) Williams of Rockford, Idaho, Tammy Golder of Idaho Falls, Wendy Goodyear of Pingree, Idaho, and Kelly (Bret) Somsen of Idaho Falls; and one grandchild, Zerelda Casteel.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dewey Fallis Sr; brother-in-law, BC Baker; stepmother, Sharon Fallis; and her grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Taylorview LDS Ward, 1291 W. 65th South - York Road, with Bishop Dennis Pond officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., and from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Josie Goldman Memorial Fund at any branch of Westmark Credit Union.
