Julie Angell McCandless, 53, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, from natural causes in Garden Valley, Boise County, Idaho, while on a trip.
Julie was born Feb. 24, 1959, in Rexburg, the daughter of Aaron and Maurine Ball Angell. She grew up in the St. Anthony area, where she attained her elementary and high school education, graduating from South Fremont High School. She also attended Ricks College, Idaho State University and received her bachelor's degree at BYU.
She married Lenny Gibbs on June 21, 1984, in Idaho Falls. They had five children and were later divorced. She then married Reed McCandless; they had one son and were later divorced.
Julie had been working for the state of Idaho as a physiological social rehabilitation specialist.
She is survived by her children, Jason Gibbs, Jared Gibbs, Jordon Gibbs, Jeremy Gibbs, Megan Rawson and Skyler McCandless, all formerly of the St. Anthony area. She is also survived by her parents, Aaron and Maurine Angell of St. Anthony; siblings, Dave Angell of Plano, Idaho, Bryce Angell of Idaho Falls, Shane Angell and Jon Angell, both of St. Anthony, Larry Angell of Portland, Ore., and Taunalee Fluckiger of Pinedale, Wyo.; and one grandson, Gabriel.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, in the St. Anthony 1st LDS Ward Chapel, with Bishop Drostan Orme officiating. Friends may call from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bidwell Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church. Burial will be in Wilford Cemetery.
