June Krista Miller, 91, of Idaho Falls passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Teton Acute Care in Idaho Falls.
She was born June 9, 1922, in Shelley, Idaho, to Leroy and Henrietta Madsen Johnson. She was educated in Shelley and after school she met the love of her life Retha "Curley" Miller. They later married on Jan. 31, 1948, in Walla Walla, Wash.
In her younger years, she worked in department stores and, after her marriage, she and her husband ran successful businesses and even ran a dance hall in Firth, Idaho. They lived a few years in Alameda, Calif., before moving back to Idaho Falls.
June was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She always kept a beautiful home and yard. She was a very caring and loving person and she always had a beautiful smile. She also loved to go camping and take lots of trips with Retha to Jackpot, Nev.
June was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by one sister, Carol Taylor of Firth; one brother, Ross (Ellen) Johnson of Iona; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 W. Oak St. in Shelley. The family will receive friends for one hour Tuesday prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
