Lance Jensen

Lance Wayne Jensen, 47, of Idaho Falls, passed away Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at his home.

Lance was born Oct. 26, 1965, to Elden Byron Jensen and Barbara Anne Schluter Jensen in Rexburg. He was a life-long resident of the Coltman area. He graduated from Bonneville High School in 1984. He worked as a machinist at Logan Farm Equipment.

Lance was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Coltman Second Ward, and also a member of the Humane Society. He loved hunting and fishing and anything in the outdoors, including gardening. He loved animals and helping take care of them. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Lance is survived by his son, Tim (Whitney) Jensen of Idaho Falls; parents, Byron and Barbara Jensen of Idaho Falls; brother, Rick (Patty) Jensen of Idaho Falls; and grandchildren, Carson, Skylee, Devin, Haylen, Mason and Tyten Jensen.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Jensen; his grandparents, John and Mildred Schluter and Elden and Nola Jensen; his niece, Jessee Anne Marie Morris; and a nephew, Justin Byron Morris.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made, in Lance's name, to the Bank of Commerce, 1455 Northgate Mile, Idaho Falls, ID 83401.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at the Coltman LDS Second Ward, 12448 N. Fifth East, with Bishop Dennis Love officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Monday prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
