Paula Suarez, 66, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
She was born Jan. 26, 1947, in Guayama, Puerto Rico, to Santiago Suarez and Augustina Alicea Coto.
She lived most of her life in Chicago and worked for about 15 years as a sales clerk. She attended school working on her nursing degree but wasn't able to finish. She was a very active person and very talkative as well.
Survivors include her boyfriend, Gerardo Cruz of Idaho Falls; one daughter, Tamara Cruz of Idaho Falls; two sisters, Carmen and Maria Suarez, both of Kentucky, Tenn.; two brothers, Rafael Suarez of Hiyalia, Fla., and Vejilio Suarez of New York; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, on the corner of Ninth Street and Lee Avenue in Idaho Falls, with Father Raul Cararrubias as celebrant. Burial will follow in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home in Idaho Falls.
