Pete Angell, 85, lifelong resident of Fremont County, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from a heart condition.
Pete was born Oct. 12, 1927, the son of Solomon Elmer and Susannah Maria Rose Angell. He spent his early years on the family ranch on Henry's Lake. He attended Twin Groves and St. Anthony schools.
He served in the U.S. Army as a medic.
He married Norma Singleton on June 2, 1947, in Wilford. They made their home in Wilford and Jackson Hole, Wyo., where he ranched. Norma died Dec. 20, 1995. Pete then married Dorothy Ashliman in the spring of 1998. They made their home in the Wilford area.
He enjoyed ranching, riding horses, snow skiing, hunting and fishing and was cattleman of the year for 2009.
Pete is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Wilford; son, Mike (Cheryl) Muller Angell of Wilford; grandchildren, Clay, Seb, Colt and Sage Angell; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers, Aaron Angell of Wilford, and Curly Angell of Wilder, Idaho.
Besides his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Kip Angell; and grandson, Clay Angell.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at Bidwell Funeral Home. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday before services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wilford Cemetery.
