Robert William "Robbie" Kangas, 38, of Iona, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at his home.
Robbie was born Nov. 24, 1973, in Hancock, Mich., part of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Gladys P. Eakin Kangas and Charles E. Kangas. He lived the majority of his life in Michigan. Rob moved to the Idaho Falls area in December 2002, where he resided until his passing.
Rob had a great many interests, including bikes, cars, video games, music and he really enjoyed movies. Rob will be sadly missed, as he brought many smiles to the world.
He is preceded in his death by his mother, Gladys.
Rob is survived by his brothers, Darren (Mikole) Andrews of Ammon and Dale (Loretta) Andrews of Green River, Wyo.; and sister, Debbie (Mike) Garbett of Evanston, Wyo.; along with various nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will say final farewells to Rob before his final journey at memorial services, which will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the services Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home. Robert's final resting place on this earth will be "Home," in Toivola, Mich.
