Ruby Brammer

Ruby Agnes Brammer, 91, of Iona, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 21, 1920, in Poplar, Idaho, to William Staggie and Laura May Webster Staggie. She attended Osgood Elementary and Ammon High School.

On March 23, 1940, she married Garfield Henry Brammer in Lewisville, Idaho. In 1950, they moved to Iona, where she has since resided. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.

Ruby was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed doing beadwork, which she attached to Christmas lights to make beautiful decorations. She also loved working in the yard and was a great gardener.

Survivors are sons, Lionel (Linda) Brammer of Spring, Texas, W. Keith (Sharon) Brammer of Iona and Craig L. (Judy) Brammer of Ammon; daughters, R. Darlene DeSomer of Iona and Allona M. (Bob) Butler of Idaho Falls; sister, Elizabeth Waterman of Oregon; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Garfield; a daughter, June Ann Brammer; and a grandson, Travis Brammer.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Iona LDS 5th Ward, 7555 N. 55th East, on the corner of Ririe Highway and North Iona Road, with Bishop Lynn Rockwood officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., and from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
