Wendy Lee Romrell, 50, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at her apartment in Rexburg of natural causes.
Wendy was born June 7, 1962, in Rexburg, Idaho, the daughter of Max Daniel and Ramona Brower Romrell. She grew up in the Wilford area and attended elementary school in Teton and graduated from South Fremont High School in l980. She attended Ricks College in Rexburg and graduated June 4, 1988, from Utah State University in Logan, Utah, with a Bachelor of Science degree in social work.
Prior to her graduation from college, she worked as a nanny in Bronxville, N.Y., caring for the children of a family there. Wendy served a mission from 1983 to 1984 for the LDS church in Catania, Italy, where she learned to speak Italian fluently. Wendy loved serving in the church and was willing to accept any calling.
After graduation from USU, Wendy worked for the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare in Idaho Falls and Arco for several years. She later accepted the position of job coach for Upper Valley Industries in Rexburg, a job she dearly loved. Wendy also worked at Life Quest in Wasilla, Alaska, for 10 years.
She is survived by her parents of Wilford; brothers, Cory (Fawn) Romrell of Kalispell, Mont., and Eric (Gina) Romrell of St. Anthony; sisters, Linn (Stan) Hawkins of Ucon and Shari (Doug) Mason of Wasilla, Alaska; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, in the Wilford LDS church, with Bishop Todd Brower officiating. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Bidwell Funeral Home and for one hour Saturday before services at the church. Burial will be in Wilford Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to Primary Children's Hospital.
