Robert Clyde "Bob" Henman, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of heart failure.

Bob was born Jan. 1, 1930, in Ansley, Neb., to Elzie Wilbur Henman and Anna Vera Mortenson Henman. He spent his early years in Nebraska, then moved with his family to Wapello, Idaho, then to Medicine Lodge.

He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

On July 10, 1951, he married Emma Elizabeth Croft in Dubois, Idaho. To this union were born five children: Steven, Betty Ann, Michael, Teresa and Tony.

Bob and Emma made their home in Idaho Falls and Bob worked as a heavy duty mechanic for Stoddard-Mead Ford, Amcor, Inc., Golden Valley, White Truck and Southern Idaho Diesel. He spent most of his career with the City of Idaho Falls and Bonneville County.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a home teacher, High Priest Group Leader and High Priest Group Assistant. Bob was a life member of the VFW, served as president of MEA for the City of Idaho Falls and on the supervisory committee of Scenic Falls Credit Union. He enjoyed bowling and fishing.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of nearly 62 years, Emma; three sons, Steven (Annette) Henman of Clearfield, Utah, Michael (Jeri) Henman of Hartford, Wis., and Tony (Christine) Henman of Idaho Falls; two daughters, Betty Ann (Calvin) Johnson of Idaho Falls and Teresa (Lee) Hadfield of Tucson, Ariz.; three brothers, John (Bonnie) Henman of Caldwell, Idaho, Richard "Butch" (LaDonna) Henman of Rigby and Lester (LaPriel) Henman of Dubois; four sisters, JoAnn (John) Abbott of Dubois, Alice (Sonny) Olsen of Price, Utah, Linda (John) Toler of Dubois and Mary Lou Wellard of Idaho Falls; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Anna Vera; a brother, Don Henman; and three sisters, Ruth Conrad, Joyce Mortensen and Delores Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, July 6, at the Idaho Falls LDS 21st Ward, 1155 First St., with Bishop Michael Baird officiating. The family will visit with friends from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
