Courtney Marie Nessen, 18, of Rigby passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at her home.
She was born June 7, 1995, in Portland, Ore., to Paula Lynn Wilhelm and Michael Thomas Nessen, and she was raised and attended schools in Idaho Falls, Rexburg and Shelley. She graduated from South Fremont High School in St. Anthony with high honors.
Courtney was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding horses and four-wheelers, and watching wrestling and football.
She is survived by her mother, Paula Villeneuve of Rigby; sisters, Cheri Nessen and Bridget Villeneuve, both of Rigby; brother, Kyle Vileneuve of Rigby; father, Michael Nessen of Beaverton, Ore.; grandparents, Edith Farris and Mitch Snocker of Hillsboro, Ore., Christine Nessen of Beaverton, Ore., and Gerald (Roxann) Wilhelm and Donna Tanner, both of Shelley; stepfather, Kelley (Karyn) Villeneuve; her fiancé, Jacob Kwiatkowski-Henry and soon-to-be mother-in-law, Tracy Kwiatkowski-Henry, both of Hillsboro, Ore.; aunts, Kristie Raymond and Tera Farris, both of Hillsboro, Ore.; and uncles, Jimmy Nessen and Steve Nessen, both of Beaverton, Ore.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Venna Wilhelm, Harry Wilhelm and Larry Nessen.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main St. in Rigby. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday prior to services, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
