Earl Rick Clayborn Obituary

Earl Rick Clayborn was born June 7, 1957, in Pocatello to Earl and Norma Clayborn. He died Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at his home in Vallejo, Calif.

He became one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1971 and served his god, Jehovah, faithfully until his death.

He graduated from Snake River High School in 1974 and worked as a boilermaker until 1980, when he became an ironworker. At the time of his death, he was general foreman on the San Francisco Bay Bridge in California.

He loved to fish, hunt and barbecue, along with his other activities.

On May 18, 1980, he married Martha Mahalik. They had three children: Earl, Alexsandra and Rebecca.

He is survived by his father, Earl Clayborn of Ocean Shores, Wash.; his mother, Norma Subia of Blackfoot; and two sisters and two brothers, Bonnie (John) Hall of Sacramento, Calif., his twin brother, Rand (Gayle) Clayborn of Turlock, Calif., Jim (Terry) Clayborn of Blackfoot and Shanna (Jim) Bodiford of Barnwell, S.C. He also had aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rick was deeply loved and we will miss him very much until we see him again in the resurrection.

There will be a memorial service for him at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1535 Highland Drive in Blackfoot. We hope to see all his friends and family there.
