Edna Bodily Cunningham, 96, of Ammon, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Parkwood Meadows in Idaho Falls of causes incident to age.
Edna was born Jan. 30, 1916, in Preston, Idaho, to Henry James Bodily and Eva Griffeth Bodily. She attended elementary and secondary schools in Iona.
On Nov. 1, 1937, she married Ralph Lewis Cunningham in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They had four children. Edna was a homemaker and worked in the Ammon school lunch program for about 20 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Edna enjoyed spending time with her family, as well as traveling with her husband, quilting and exercising. She was often seen walking with her friends around the blocks of old Ammon.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints and served faithfully throughout her life in various callings in the church. Her husband, Ralph, passed away Jan. 23, 2002.
Edna is survived by her children, Garth (Christina) Cunningham of Ammon, Valeta (Steve) Cook of Rigby, Brent (Nancy) Cunningham of Boise and Joyce (Sterling) Brimley of Bountiful, Utah; 15 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, all of her siblings, and a daughter-in-law, Gloria Cunningham.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Ammon LDS 1st Ward, 3000 Central Ave., with Bishop Ryan Kohler officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
