Ellen Mae Coolidge, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at her home. She was under the care of Idaho Home Health and Hospice.
She was born July 13, 1926, to Loyal Izzard and Thelma Cundiff Izzard in Redding, Calif. She attended school and graduated from Shasta Union High School.
Ellen married Jerrold Oliver Coolidge on Sept. 3, 1949, in Redding, Calif.
Though her lifetime, she worked at the Department of Rehabilitation of the State of California, the University of Idaho Department of Agriculture and for the Atomic Energy Commission (INL).
She was a member of the Episcopal Church.
Ellen enjoyed bird watching, doing things to attract birds to her home, and bird feeders. She liked to travel to Market Lake to watch the birds. She especially enjoyed her daughters, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Jerrold Coolidge of Idaho Falls; daughters, Margaret Adamski and Susan Coolidge, both of Idaho Falls; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother and a grandson, Devlin.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
