Faunetta Reynolds, 88, passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 16, 1925, to Elmer and Pearl Weaver. She graduated from Blackfoot High School and then went on to nursing school.
On April 14, 1945, she married Arthur Woodrow Reynolds in Dillon, Mont. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in February 1946. Having not been blessed with children of their own, they adopted five children: Barbara, Dan Owen, Carol, Nancy Lin and Russell Dee.
In 1986, Faunetta and Woodrow commenced working in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple and did so for approximately 10 years. They also filled an 18-month mission for the LDS church at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple Visitors Center.
She loved gardening, putting together puzzles and crocheting baby hats.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Irwin; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Mallene Stolworthy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; all but one sibling; and four children, Barbara Bermudes, Russell Evening, Nancy Reynolds and Dan Reynolds.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the care that Faunetta received from Parkwood Assisted Living, Bonaventure Assisted Living Center, Encompass Home Health, Promontory Point Rehabilitation and for the great friends in the Lost River Valley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Moore LDS Stake Center, under the direction of Anderson Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lost River Cemetery.
