Jane Allbright Obituary

Almira Jane Berkley Allbright, 66, of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013, at her home after a long illness. She was under the care of Hearts for Hospice.

Jane was born Jan. 4, 1947, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to James Donald Berkley and Norma Louise Peterson. She graduated from Twin Falls High School and attended Idaho State University.

Jane married Bruce Leon Allbright on July 15, 1967, in Pocatello. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on July 13, 1968.

She also lived in Pocatello, Thornton, Colo., and Boise before settling in Idaho Falls. She worked as a librarian at Gate City Elementary in Pocatello, as an accountant at RS&I and as a secretary at Clair E. Gale Junior High School. Most importantly, she was commander-in-chief of her household (CINC House Pac).

Jane was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a Primary president along with teaching Primary, as Relief Society president, as a Young Women leader, and she served a five-year church history mission and recently served in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren's activities. She enjoyed counted cross-stitch, crocheting and gardening and was a volunteer at schools. Jane was an excellent grandmother to her nine grandsons and one granddaughter.

Jane is survived by her husband, Bruce of Idaho Falls; son, Jeff (Wendy) Allbright, and grandsons Mathew and Joshua, all of Pocatello; son, Troy (Christina) Allbright, and grandsons Brian, Aaron and Ethan, and granddaughter, Carys, all of Pocatello; daughter, Lori (Roger) Murdoch, and grandsons Taylor, Austin, Kohner and Kasen, all of Idaho Falls; mother, Norma Berkley of Twin Falls; brother, James Berkley of Twin Falls; and sisters, Diana (Kent) Wolfe of Gooding, Idaho, and Beverly (Kenny) Wilder of St. Anthony.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Donald Berkley.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 3, at the Fox Hollow LDS Ward building, 2345 W. 17th South (Mill Road). The family will meet with friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., and from noon to 12:45 p.m. Friday prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
