Jared Jensen Obituary

Jared Bradley Jensen, 37, of Rexburg, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, in Rexburg.

He was born April 9, 1975, at St. Anthony to Bradley Burns Jensen and JoAnn Stoddard Jensen. He attended Burton Elementary School, Madison Middle School and graduated from Madison High School in 1993.

As a young man, he loved working alongside his dad and brother on the family farm, and this love continued throughout his life. He continued to work there until his death. Jared had many talents, and as a young man participated on the Wings Gymnastics team and won state championships in many events. He was a talented welder and meticulous in everything he did.

On June 10, 1994, he married Alison Peck, and to this union a daughter, Paige Brooklyn Jensen, was born. Jared and Alison later divorced.

Jared enjoyed traveling and vacationing with his daughter, Paige, who was the love of his life. Jared was always looking out for the underdog, most of the time at his own expense.

He is survived by his daughter, Paige Jensen; his parents, Bradley and JoAnn Jensen; sisters, Natalee (Jason) Riley and Melissa (Travis) Wade; brother, Nicholas (Marci) Jensen; maternal grandparents, Marion and Blanche Stoddard; nephews, Ridge and Ryker Riley, Wes, Grant and Gordon Jensen, and Dawson Wade; and nieces, Shaylee (Zak) Terry, Saige and Skylar Riley, Alex, Preslee and Olivia Wade, and Natalie and Ellyn Jensen; whom he loved dearly. He had special nicknames for each of them.

Jared is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Grant and Loretta Jensen.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at the Burton LDS Church. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church prior to services.
