JoAnn Reece, 59, of Idaho Falls, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at her home.
She was born Nov. 24, 1954, in Driggs, Idaho, to Elmer Reece and Lena Irene Jensen Reece. She grew up in the Felt area in the Teton Valley. In 1972, she graduated from Teton High School.
She worked for many years at Walters Produce in Newdale and was a dispatcher for Teton County. In 2003, she moved to Idaho Falls. She was a cashier and stock clerk at the Ammon Walmart.
JoAnn was a Christian.
She enjoyed fast cars, rock 'n' roll music, baking and cake decorating, collecting Barbie dolls, cats, horses and spending time with her family. JoAnn also enjoyed adding to her antique collection and fairy collections.
She was one of the most kind-hearted people you would ever have met. JoAnn was unselfish and caring and would give you anything you needed if she could have.
JoAnn is survived by her siblings. Kathy (Will) Reece-Waddle of Rigby, Robert Bob Reece of Idaho Falls and Jim Reece of Felt; a nephew, Mike McCracken of Idaho Falls; a niece, Kristy McCracken of Driggs; a great-niece, ReAnna Nabb of Laramie, Wyo.; and great-nephews, Isaac McCombs and Ethan McCombs, both of Driggs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Irene Reece; and her grandparents, Amanda and Roscoe Reece.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends for one hour Saturday prior to the services at the mortuary. Burial will be at a later date in Cache-Clawson Cemetery in Tetonia.
