Joshua Gregory Cameron, 21, of Rexburg, died suddenly Tuesday, June 12, 2012, in Syracuse, Utah.
He was born Aug. 21, 1990, at Columbia, Md. His parents are Gregory L. Cameron and Kaylene Richardson.
He was a junior at BYU-Idaho majoring in computer science. At the time of his passing, he was working as an intern for the LDS church as a programmer. He was the vice president of the BYU-Idaho Association of Computing Machinery (ACM).
Joshua graduated from Madison High School in 2008, where he was actively involved in orchestra and the debate team. He served an LDS mission to Rapid City, S.D., from 2009 to 2011. He was an Eagle Scout, loved to play all types of computer games and dreamed of becoming a game programmer.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Gregory L. and Lourdes M. Cameron of Rexburg, and his mother and stepfather, Kaylene and Randy Richardson of Syracuse, Utah. Also surviving are grandparents, Conley and Beverly Stucki of Idaho Falls, Larry and Lynna Cameron of Port Angeles, Wash., and Bonnie Cameron of Idaho Falls; siblings, Jacob Cameron of Provo, Utah, Jordan Cameron of Rexburg, Jessica Cameron of Rexburg and Emily Cameron of Yuba City, Calif.; and step-siblings, Tyler Richardson of Syracuse, Utah, Amanda Tillman from Logan, Utah, and Trevor Richardson of Syracuse, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Bret Stucki, and his cousin, Kameron Kuch.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at the 2nd and 5th Ward building in Rexburg. A viewing will precede the funeral from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. A viewing will also be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today, June 15, at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg. Interment will be in Grant Central Cemetery.
