Linda Renee Staples, 56, of Shelley, passed away Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 20, 1956, in Boise, to Jack Fuerett and Elma Lou White Strickland.
Linda met Kenneth Staples in Shelley in 1984. After a brief courtship, they were married on May 17, 1984, in Idaho Falls. On May 14, 1999, they were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple.
Linda worked as a caregiver at The Willows in Blackfoot for a number of years. She also was an associate at Deseret Industries in Blackfoot.
She was known as having many hobbies that she truly enjoyed; her favorite was cooking.
Linda is survived by her husband, Kenneth Staples of Shelley; brother, Jack Strickland of Lubbock, Texas; sister, Becky Geis of Boise; and four children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Fran; and brother, Jamie.
Words can't express the love that I had for my best friend and wife for all our ups and downs together. I love you, and you will always be with me. She will be missed by many people.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at the Shelley Eighth Ward Chapel, 184 N. Park Ave. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home in Shelley.
