Lois Marylynn Sadler, 80, of Palisades, Idaho, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born July 24, 1932, in Reliance, Wyo., to Lyman George Welch and Agnes Morrow Welch. She grew up in Wyoming and graduated from Reliance High School, then continued her education at the University of Wyoming.
Lois married Robert L. Harp in 1951; they later divorced. She then married Jack Coleman Sadler on Feb. 14, 1969, in Winterhaven, Calif. Lois and Jack lived in Imperial, Calif., for 21 years and in Palisades for the past 28 years.
Lois worked as an accountant/auditor for the city of El Centro, Calif., from which she retired in 1983.
She enjoyed fishing, camping, boating and four-wheeling. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and living in her home on Palisades Lake.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Kathy Plock of Idaho Falls; sons, Charles Harp of Idaho Falls and Robert Harp of Billings, Mont.; sister, Norene Gries of Palos Heights, Ill.; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Lyman Welch.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
