Ruth Blayden Obituary

Ruth Christina Fry Blayden passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013, due to surgical complications in Salt Lake City.

She was born May 5, 1923, to Claude Orville and Irene Pfost Fry in Hibbard, Idaho. The oldest child and only girl, Ruth was the big sister to Charles Fry, who preceded her in death, and is survived by Jack (Noreen) Fry and Wayne Fry, all from Idaho Falls. Ruth was raised in the Rexburg and St. Anthony area and was a resident of Salmon for the past 50 years.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She married her best friend and the love of her life, Marlin George Blayden, on Sept. 27, 1943. The couple had four children: Jan Blayden of Salmon, Idaho, John (Stefani) Blayden of Herriman, Utah, Judy (Lenard) Hatch of Salmon and (BJ) Betty Jo (Michael) Evans of Salt Lake City. They have eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, at the Salmon LDS Stake Center. Interment is in Salmon Cemetery.
