Wayne John Kremer, 93, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at his home with his great-granddaughter.
He was born June 24, 1919, in Lesterville, S.D., to John W. Kremer and Hattie Beadlestone Kremer. He grew up and attended schools in the area.
He joined the U.S. Army and served his country during World War II.
On Oct. 9, 1940, he married Lemma Annie Goodson. In April 1944, their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He worked for Bonneville County Road and Bridges. His wife, Lemma, preceded him in death Dec. 19, 1998.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Wayne enjoyed fishing and fly tying. He lived with his great-granddaughter, Jessica, her husband and their three children and appreciated the kindness and loving care they gave him.
Survivors are his son, Ronald Kremer of Blackfoot; six grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a daughter, Linda Kremer.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., with Bishop Jerry Tomlinson of the Idaho Falls LDS Sageview Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Thursday prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
