After finishing the course, she went to work for the Department of Health and Welfare in Boise and Rexburg. She worked for Westinghouse and Phillips at the INEEL and also worked at First Security Bank in Idaho Falls.

She married William R. (Bill) Goodwin in the fall of 1956. They had three sons, Paul, Chris and Phillip Goodwin.

Survivors include her sons, Paul (June) Goodwin of Tooele, Utah, and Chris (Dena) Goodwin and Phil (Sheila) Goodwin, both of Idaho Falls; brother, Kenneth (Ines) Garz of Squirrel, Idaho; nine grandchildren, Brandon, Stacy, Zack, Jason, Terra, Cody, Richard, Michael and Jessica; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her mother, father and one great-grandson.
