Robert Cary Guinn, 53, of Ririe, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014, at his home after a valiant battle with mesothelioma.
He was born Aug. 21, 1960, in Denver to Charles Vance Guinn and Jean Francis Burris Guinn. He was raised and attended schools in Byers, Colo., and Rigby. He enjoyed wrestling and rodeoing during his high school years.
On Nov. 19, 1977, he married Gina Lorraine Howe in Rigby. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on June 13, 1992. They were blessed with two daughters and one son.
Robert was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved camping, four-wheeling, fishing and riding horses with his family; he also enjoyed hunting. Above all, he loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Gina Lorraine Guinn; daughters, Nacole (Byron) Wilkinson and Camille Guinn; son, Jared (Melissa) Guinn, all of Ririe; grandchildren, Jensen and Charles Wilkinson and Oakley Guinn; sister, Michele Dow of Aurora, Colo.; uncle, Virgil (Janice) Lampton of Claremore, Okla.; aunt, Nancy Adas of Chicago; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, infant brother and twin granddaughters, Faith and Hope Wilkinson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 5, at the Ririe Stake Center, 14061 N. 130 East in Ririe. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main St. in Rigby, and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Monday prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
