Fernando Gonzalez, 28, passed away from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in his home town of Roberts, Friday, July 18, 2014.
He was born Oct. 24, 1985, in Idaho Falls to Gabriel Gonzalez and Balbina Gonzalez. He was the oldest of five children. He was attending EITC, to receive his degree in diesel mechanics. He was an outstanding student with a 3.7 GPA. He worked for the family business, Gonzalez Transportation. He had a passion for speed and cars, but dedicated himself entirely to his family and his work. He showed a remarkable kind of love towards his nieces and nephews. He spent most of his summer afternoons under the hood of his beloved "Jenny" 2001 Ford Mustang GT, rebuilding the engine. His car was his pride and joy. He also spent a lot of time and energy working on his Dad's diesel trucks. He was a very dedicated man when it came to accomplishing tasks. Between work, school, and his car, he still took the time to care for his parents and spend time with his close friends and family. He had a great sense of humor and carried himself with a constant smile on his face. Above all he was always the protector of his family, and he will be remembered for the love and compassion he showed for them all.
Fernando is survived by his true love, Anna Rosa Rosales; his parents, Gabriel Gonzalez and Balbina Gonzalez; his younger brother, Salvador Gonzalez; his three younger sisters, Laura Gonzalez, Gabriela Gonzalez and Lillian Isabella Gonzalez; and his much loved nieces and nephews, Jayda (Jayz) Echeverria, Adan (Neeners) Sanchez, Adrain I.
