Carol Lee Thompson Snarr, 69, of Idaho Falls, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 30, 1945, in Eugene, Ore., to Rao Glenn Thompson and Helen Weber Thompson. The family moved to Idaho Falls, where she attended schools and graduated from Bonneville High School.
On Aug. 22, 1963, she married David Roger Snarr in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She worked in retail at JC Penney, Walmart, and Dillards and as a teller at Valley and Key banks.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved teaching in Primary and Sunday School and served in various other callings.
She enjoyed camping, reading, collecting knick-knacks, and loved NASCAR. Most of all, she loved her family and friends, and they all adored and cherished her.
Survivors are her husband, David Snarr of Idaho Falls; son, David Troy Snarr of Idaho Falls; daughter, Jennifer Lee (Ronnie) Campbell of Idaho Falls; four grandchildren, Jeremy, Alicia, Kris and Heather; two great-grandchildren, Kase and Kinlee; brother, Jim (Bethany) Thompson of Winnemucca, Nev.; and sisters, Lynn (Theron) Nelson of Ammon, Marsha (Gary) Walton of Shelley, Barbara (Kent) Abplanalp of Hurricane, Utah, Vicki Jean (Curtis) Kawaguchi of Roy, Utah, and Wendy Thompson of Shelley.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert Thompson and Gary Thompson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, at the Idaho Falls LDS 13th Ward, 955 Memorial Drive, with Bishop Chris Wright officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., and from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Monday prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
