Kendra Eleanor Packer Lofthouse, 35, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Pocatello, Idaho, to David Dean and Karen Lyne Allen Packer. She grew up in Pocatello and Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1993. She attended Idaho State University and received her bachelor's degree in social work. She worked as a licensed social worker.
On Nov. 3, 2007, she married Brandon Lofthouse in Idaho Falls.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a primary teacher, relief society presidency counselor, compassionate service coordinator and activities committee chairwoman for the single adult branch.
She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, watching movies, reading books and family reunions, and she lettered in soccer.
Kendra was loving, caring, beautiful, cheerful, selfless, compassionate, brave, strong, the best aunt in the world and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Brandon Lofthouse of Idaho Falls; mother, Karen Andersen of Idaho Falls; father, David (Patricia) Packer of Pocatello; sisters, Heidi (Bryan) Abegglen of Rigby, Patty (Matthew) Neff of Anchorage, Alaska, and Carlen (Will) Donovan and Amanda Wood, both of Pocatello; brothers, Eric Andersen of Idaho Falls, Josh (Donna) Packer of Nampa, and Chet (Tressa) Packer, Chuck (Jen) Heisler and David Packer Jr., all of Pocatello; and grandmother, Betty Allen of Pocatello.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Elmo Jack Andersen; grandfathers, Kenneth Allen and Newell Packer; and grandmothers, Eleanor Packer and Melba Packer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 10, at the Idaho Falls LDS 4th Ward, 955 Memorial Drive in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 9, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. in Idaho Falls, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
