Dennis Kelel Thueson, 53, of Idaho Falls, passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of cardiac arrest.
He was born May 5, 1959, in Idaho Falls to Kelel N. Thueson and Della Cherry Thueson.
He grew up in the Coltman area of Idaho Falls. In 1977, he graduated from Bonneville High School. He attended Ricks College, where he earned an associate degree. In addition, he attended Eastern Idaho Technical College, where he became a radiological control technician.
On Nov. 21, 1980, he married Elisabeth Maria Kerscher in the Cardston Alberta Temple.
Dennis has lived his 53 years in Idaho Falls. Among the places he worked were Savings Center, Walker Produce, a bus driver for Rigby School District No. 251, Gem State Paper & Supply, and was currently employed by CWI at the INL.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served a mission to San Antonio and Denver in his younger years.
Dennis loved fishing, snow machining, hunting, Boise State University football and growing roses. Dennis also loved being with and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Liz Thueson of Idaho Falls; a daughter, Stephanie Lynn (Colton) Ricks of Idaho Falls; a son, Brent James (Chantilly) Buhrman of Colorado Springs, Colo.; parents, Kelel and Della Thueson; and a sister, Cheryl (Curt) Schiffman, all of Idaho Falls.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Brentwood LDS Stake Center, 2040 Brentwood Drive in Idaho Falls, with Bishop Steven Bates officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. in Idaho Falls, and from 10 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. Thursday prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Teton-Newdale Cemetery.
