Bobbi Jan Elkins-Teckmeyer, 48, of Idaho Falls, left this life May 23, 2016, at her home in Pocatello, Idaho.
Bobbi was the first child, first daughter, of Roger Eldon Elkins and Janice LaRue, in Murray, Utah, on March 27, 1968.
Bobbi loved growing up with her mom and dad and brother and sisters in McClean, Va.; Frankfurt, Germany; Sandy, Utah; and Plano, Texas. She loved visiting her grandpa and grandma, Wallace (Wally) and Arnelda Poulson, in Redmond, Utah, and had many stories of her childhood experiences there. She also enjoyed seeing all of her relatives and catching up at annual summer family reunions in Fish Lake, Utah.
She married Jeff Shaw, and they had two daughters together, Dominique and Dontie. During this period in her life, she lived in California. They were later divorced, and Bobbi moved to Idaho Falls and later married Blane Teckmeyer.
Bobbi was a licensed aesthetic esthetician and started a skin care business in Idaho Falls called SkinSense, LLC, which successfully operated for over five years, seeing thousands of skin care clients during the length of this business. Bobbi loved interfacing with her clients and had available to her the latest in skin care treatments. She gave up her business, SkinSense, LLC, due to health issues. Bobbi was also a hair care representative and was excited to spend an entire day with John Paul DeJoria of John Paul Mitchell Systems.
Bobbi always had a great interest in art, and to that end, attended Idaho State University in Pocatello. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts and was very excited to see this college program to completion. Bobbi loved walking with her husband, Blane, and their two black pugs, Keitchu and Dobby. She also very much enjoyed visits from her grandsons, Klue and Timothy.
Bobbi's surviving daughters are Dominque and her son, Timothy, and her partner, Daniel Carlson, and Dontie Shaw and her children, Klue, Elizabeth and Beckham. Her other surviving siblings are Becky and Jay Coley and their daughter, McKenzi; Brendi and Adam Conder, and their children, Michael, Ashley and Max; and Wesley and Kelsey Elkins and their children, Dylan and Peyton. Brendi is now married to Jeff Heath. Adam is now engaged to Halee Kast.
Funeral services are this Saturday, May 28, at Mill Run Ward, 2020 S. Charlotte Drive in Idaho Falls. There will be a viewing at 10 a.m. and services at 11 a.m., both times at the church, with a lunch provided afterwards for close family.

I introduced Bobby to Blane Teckmeyer.
She was amazing as a mother and wife.
Light and love to you and yours Bobby.

Bobbi,
You were the best sister one could ask for. I learned some of my best lessons in life from you. You took the heat and are a true warrior. I know you've won your crown and are free from pains. I love you sis, and will keep you close in my heart! You were an amazing artist and sculpted the most uniquely interwoven family life for those who had an opportunity to know you. You left us all with a true gift of charity (the pure love of Christ).
I will miss your hugs and laughter!
