JACKIE MECKE, 51, OF POTTSTOWN Jackie (Arthur) Mecke, 51, of Pottstown, passed away peacefully Thursday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center in the company of her loved ones. Born in King of Prussia, she was the daughter of the late John and Naomi (Platz) Arthur. Jackie was dedicated and hardworking, committed to providing dental care to the uninsured. She was a devoted mother who loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Surviving are son, Peter Mecke, husband of Melissa; daughters, Sarah Kupchick, wife of Michael, and Suzy Mecke, fianc of Ryan Divis; grandchildren, William Douglas Mecke and Nickolas Michael Kupchick; sister, Kathleen Russell, and her companion, Thomas Plummer. A memorial service will be celebrated Monday February 18, 11 a.m. at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd, 329 N. Lewis Road, Royersford. Visitation will be held Monday from 9-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Jackie's memory to Community Volunteers In Medicine, 300 B Lawrence Dr. West Chester, PA 19380. Peter, Sarah & Suzy: Your Mom will always have a special place in my heart. My girlfriend since 7th grade - our friendship is forever. I will always remember her as a beautiful person with such a calm personality. We had many wonderful times together in school - ones that I will cherish always.
