Dear Reicherts,
I was so shocked and saddened to read of your loss. Barbara was one of the nicest people it has been my privilege to know. I enjoyed teaching with her and enjoyed having her as one of my"parents" when you children were in my class.
Sincerely,
virginia strunk

To the Reichert Family:
My name is Tom Fox. I'm Marilyn and Richard Fox's son. I'm very sorry to hear about the passing of Barbara. I heard the news from Carl Blankenship. As you may know, my Dad passed away from Cancer in 1998, so I can imagine your hardship.
As you know, Barbara was involved in Card Club with my Mom, Ana, and others for many years. My Mom always enjoyed the Club and Barbara was certainly a part of the joy she experienced. I always appreciated how she was interested in hearing about how I was doing as a kid all the way up through adulthood. This explained why Card Club managed only to play a few Uno games a night:-) Card Club always seemed to have a presence in our lives. They supported my Mom after Richard died in 1998 and they attended weddings of the family.
The point is that Barbara, my Mom, and the rest of Card Club invested in people's lives by not only asking questions, but by being present and a making commitment to be there for people. It was a great model for me. I believe that part of what measures a person is their ability to maintain close relationships throughout their life. So, Barbara certainly measures well:-)
I know that this is a difficult time for you as you mourn the passing of your wife / Mom. I pray that her memories and legacy will hold you close. I believe that she’s praying with the Saints for each of you. It's wonderful that Card Club continues as Barbara reunites with family and loved ones who had passed before her and can play cards once again with my Mom.
With Love,
Tom Fox

To Carl and all of Barbara's family - I am so very sorry for your loss. Barbara will be missed by so very many people. She was such a warm and caring, giving and loving woman. I am so glad she was my friend. She was such a great partner and support with church and Thrivent activities. I will miss her very much but I am glad she is no longer faced with the worries and pain which weighed on her these last many months. I know she is safe and happy with Our Heavenly Father.
