Barkasi, Michael* - Pottstown  
MICHAEL BARKASI, 73, FORMERLY OF POTTSTOWN Michael Barkasi, 73, formerly of Pottstown, PA, died on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Roxborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Pottstown, PA, he was the son of the late Michael Barkasi and Marguerite (Lengal) Barkasi. Michael was a graduate of Boyertown High School. He served in the U.S. Navy prior to the Vietnam War. An electrician by trade, Michael was employed by Firestone Tire and Rubber Company until they closed. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Pottstown. Michael is survived by his sons, John Barkasi of Pottstown, PA; Michael Kinder of Virginia; Robert Kinder; Michael Barkasi and his wife April of North Coventry Twp., PA, and Thomas Barkasi of Florida; his daughters, Sharon Cambas of New Orleans and Lisa Renninger of Sanatoga, PA. He was formerly married to Sandra (Ferguson) Barkasi Nagy. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two younger brothers, George and Paul Barkasi, and his granddaughter, Diandra Renninger. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service 7:30 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte Street, Pottstown, PA. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Barthlow, Clarence H.* - Ann'S Choice  
CLARENCE H. BARTHLOW, 95 Clarence H. Barthlow of Ann's Choice, passed away Friday January 23, 2015 at Ann's Choice. He was 95 years old. Born in Martinsburg, WV in 1919, he served in the U.S. Army 2nd Armored Division, from Oct. 1941 to Oct. 1945. He was a First Sergeant in the Headquarters Company 2nd Armored Division. He was in the invasion of North Africa, the D day Normandy Invasion, D day plus 3 Omaha Beach, Battle of St. Lo, The Battle of the Bulge and through Germany into Berlin. He received the Bronze Star Medal. He worked at the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in Pottstown for 34 years as a chief supervisor. He was an active member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Pottstown, where he served as a deacon and an elder. Clarence is survived by his wife Ellen (nee Lamm) and two children, Mary (Paul) Hernandez-Cuebas and Dr. Douglas Barthlow; three grandchildren, Dr. Lisa (Patrick) Watkins, Rebecca Hernandez-Cuebas and Zachary Barthlow; great-granddaughter Camila; two brothers, Roy Barthlow of Maryland and Dr. Robert Barthlow, Ohio. He was preceded in death by sisters, Mabel Kramer and Mary Barthlow, and brothers, Paul and John Barthlow. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 11 a.m. in The Chapel at Ann's Choice, Warminster, Pa. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Paul's U.C.C., 927 Franklin St., Pottstown, Pa. 19464 in Clarence's memory. Arrangement by The Decker Funeral Home, Warminster.

Beck, Fay Winifred* - Lavelle  
FAY WINIFRED BECK Fay Winifred (Seiler) Beck born Feb. 28, 1923 to Gustav and Leona (Hornberger) Seiler in Lavelle, Schuylkill County, PA passed away Jan. 23, 2015 at Garden Spot Village, New Holland, PA. She graduated from Ashland High School, class of 1939, and was married for 65 years to Burton Beck, originally from Ashland PA. She is survived by: son John (wife Joy) Beck, Lancaster, PA; granddaughter Jillian ( Bob) Pisani, Lancaster, PA; granddaughter Julie Beck, Lancaster, PA; grandson Jonathan (wife Dawn) Beck, Lancaster, PA; five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by brothers George and Joseph and sister Anna (Seiler) Schoellkopf. Although they never lost their connection to their roots in the coal region, after WWII, Fay and Burton settled in Pottstown, PA where they lived for 50 years. Burton operated Beck Auto Service and Fay was a dedicated homemaker maintaining an impeccably clean and inviting home for her family. In 1995 the Beck's relocated to Garden Spot Village to be close to their son and family. Fay was devoted to her Lord and Savior and was a lifelong faithful member of the Evangelical Congregational Church, in recent years attending St. Paul E. C. Church in Reamstown, PA. Fay's greatest joy was doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her unconditional love, she will always be fondly remembered for her wonderful PA German cooking and baking, most notably her homemade chicken pot pie and huckleberry and lemon sponge pies. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland PA on Friday, Jan.30, 2015 at 4 p.m. A time for visitation will be held from 3 p.m. till time of service. Interment Saturday, Jan.31 at 9:30 a.m. in Citizens Cemetery, Lavelle, PA. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA is in charge of arrangements. Visit Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home - ASHLAND PA.
