A. Jean Barto (Rosenberry) Hipp

A. Jean (Rosenberry) Barto Hipp, 70, died December 23, 2012 in her Wyomissing residence. She was the wife of Mario H. Hipp, whom she married February 14, 2007.
Born in Pottstown, PA on December 27, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Franklin M. Sr., and Helen E. (Mellinger) Rosenberry.
She was a 1959 graduate of Pottstown High School and attended Bloomsburg University.
Jean was a member of St. Catharine's R.C. Church, Exeter Township, where she had also served as a lector.
She was employed in the human resources department with Bon-Ton, Wyomissing and later in the same capacity with Ronco's Pharmacy, Spring Township, last working in 2011.
Jean was a talented seamstress and enjoyed playing cards and cooking.
She is also survived by two children: Harold D. Jr., husband of Cindy A. (Cook) Barto of Exeter Township and Sharon L. (Barto), wife of Michael B. Riley of Lower Alsace Township.
Other survivors include a step-daughter, Leann (Hipp), wife of Christopher J. Koch of Womelsdorf: a brother, Robert G. Rosenberry of Pottstown and her former spouse, Harold D. Barto, Sr.
There are also eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren surviving.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, December 28th at 10:00 am in St. Catharine's R.C. Church, 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA 19606. Viewings will be held Thursday, 6:30 - 8:00 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading and Friday from 9:30 am until 10:00 am in the Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
