AMY MARIE SWANSON OF POTTSTOWN Amy Marie (Newby) Swanson, 75, wife of Donald F. Swanson of Pottstown, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2013 at her residence. Formerly of Newtown Square, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the lateThomas and Elizabeth Leah Newby. She graduated from Marple-Newtown HS in 1956 and retired from Tredyffrin-Easttown School District in 2001. Amy was a trend-setter as the first female school bus driver and letter carrier for Newtown Square. Amy was on the Pottstown Zoning Board and served as Judge of Elections. Amy is survived by her husband Donald, sister Hazel Murphy (Harry), three children Donald Swanson (Donna), Cynthia Thompson (Chris), Karen Hilden (Chris) eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA with deacon Gary Guy officiating. Interment will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA A viewing will be Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
