Anna Gramata

ANNA GRAMATA, 87, FORMERLY OF POTTSTOWN Anna Gramata, 87, widow of Michael Gramata, of Coventry Manor Nursing Home, South Coventry Township, and formerly of Pottstown, died Thursday February 23, 2012 at the manor. Born in Andrewsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Metro and Mary (Karnish) Roshay. Anna was a stay at home mother who went to work after her children were grown. She was a sales clerk at W.T. Grants Department Store, formerly of Pottstown, and had been a seamstress for the Ina Lyn Dress Co. and Sunset Manufacturing, both formerly of Pottstown. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church , 301 Cherry St. Pottstown, where she was a member of the choir, the woman's guild and the baking ladies. She was also a member of Father Bally Council #1192, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and St. Aloysius Senior Citizens. Anna enjoyed sewing, baking, traveling and attending sporting events. Surviving are two sons, Gregory D. Gramata, husband of Barbara of West Lawn, and Michael D. Gramata of Reading; three daughters, Carol A., wife of Robert Stong of Roswell, GA; Ann Marie G., wife of Michael Dolan of Allentown, and Dolores K., wife of Timothy J. Holleran of Gilbertsville; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in St. John The Baptist Byzantine Church on Tuesday February 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be Tuesday morning from 8:30-10:30 a.m. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, with Parastas services at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
