Anthony M. Iezzi, 84, of North Coventry., husband of Lois G. (Roberts) Iezzi, passed away on Friday at his home.
Born in Mahanoy City, he was the son of the late Luigi and Kathryn (Giannini) Iezzi.
Tony was a World War II Army
veteran. He worked for more than 40 years for the postal service, retiring in 1983 after being Post Master in Pottstown for 11 years. He was a member of the Pottstown Elks and a member of the former Maria Assunta. He also enjoyed golfing.
Surviving with his wife of 63 years are children Russell Iezzi, husband of Marion, Michael A. Iezzi, husband of Kathy, Barbara J. Webster, wife of Jack, and John J. Iezzi; grandchildren Heather Coyne, Jessica Knauer, Bradley, Brian, Nicky, John Jr., and Shelby Jo Iezzi; and great-grandchildren Gavin Knauer and Jaxson Coyne. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his daughter, Toni Michelle Iezzi, and brothers Dr Louis and James Iezzi.
A funeral service will be Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown with Rev. Bonnie Moore officiating. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Pottstown. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
